Terms of Service for E2E-small-state-shared-plain in Vermont
What Our HVAC Services Include and Exclude
Last updated: October 2026
E2E-small-state-shared-plain provides heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services for homes and small businesses in Vermont. Our standard scope covers diagnostic visits, equipment repair, routine maintenance, and replacement of like-for-like components.
We handle refrigerant under EPA Section 608 certification and follow Clean Air Act Section 608 recovery rules. Work must meet Vermont Residential Building Energy Standards and Vermont Commercial Building Energy Standards where they apply.
Local zoning and mechanical permits vary by municipality, so you may need to secure approvals. Vermont electrical permits are required for covered electrical work.
We follow Vermont hazardous-waste rules for regulated disposal and coordinate with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency when needed.
Some projects fall outside our standard terms: full system redesigns, ductwork fabrication, asbestos abatement, and electrical panel upgrades require a separate written agreement. We also work with the Vermont Department of Public Service, Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation, and Vermont Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire Safety.
For Burlington properties, the City of Burlington Department of Permitting and Inspections may need to review plans.
How We Schedule Appointments and Handle Cancellations
Scheduling starts when you call (555) 010-0000 or request service through our website. We confirm a date and a time window, usually two to four hours, so you know when to expect our technician.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Short-notice cancellations may lead to a trip charge, which we will explain upfront.
For changes to the scope of work like adding a repair or replacing a part we pause and provide a written change order. You approve it before we continue.
This protects you from surprise costs. If we cannot access the equipment or the site is unsafe, we may need to reschedule.
We also follow Vermont electrical and mechanical permit requirements, so some jobs need inspection before we can finish. We will tell you if that applies. Our goal is to keep the process clear and predictable.
Estimates, Pricing, and Payment Terms
We provide a written estimate after inspecting your system or reviewing your project details. The estimate lists the work we plan to do, parts, and labor.
It remains valid for a set period, which we note on the document. If you approve, we schedule the work.
Payment is due when the job is complete, unless we agree in writing to a different arrangement. For larger installations, we may ask for a deposit to cover equipment orders, but we will state that clearly before you commit.
If you request changes like adding a thermostat or moving a vent we stop and prepare a revised estimate. You must approve the new total before we continue.
We do not add charges without your consent. We accept checks, major credit cards, and electronic transfers. We do not offer financing directly, but we can refer you to third-party lenders if you ask.
Our Workmanship Warranty and What It Covers
E2E-small-state-shared-plain stands behind the labor we perform. If a problem arises from our installation or repair, we will make it right.
The exact length of our workmanship warranty is stated in your written service agreement. We do not publish a one-size-fits-all duration because it can vary by project type and equipment.
Manufacturer warranties cover the equipment itself; we help you file those claims. Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, power surges, or acts of nature.
It is void if you or another contractor modify our work without our approval. It also requires that you follow the maintenance schedule we provide.
If you skip routine service, we may not be able to honor the warranty. We follow Vermont Residential and Commercial Building Energy Standards, so our work meets current codes.
If a repair fails because of a pre-existing condition we noted, that is not covered. We will always explain what is and is not covered before you sign.
Limits on Our Liability
Our liability for any claim related to our HVAC services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that caused the issue. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, such as lost profits or temporary relocation costs.
We are not liable for pre-existing conditions like old wiring, corroded pipes, or structural defects that we did not cause and that may affect our work. We handle refrigerant under EPA Section 608 certification and follow Clean Air Act Section 608 recovery rules.
Our work aims to meet Vermont Residential Building Energy Standards and Vermont Commercial Building Energy Standards. Local zoning and mechanical permits vary by municipality, so delays from permitting are not our responsibility.
Vermont electrical permits are required for covered electrical work. We follow Vermont hazardous-waste rules for regulated disposal.
This limitation does not apply where Vermont law prohibits such limits. We carry insurance as required.
